Place Nodes tool settings

SettingDescription
Area

Use to control the way positions are identified. Four options are supported:

  • None: Use to place nodes interactively one by one with data points.

  • Block: Using the pointer, select two data points to create a block.

  • Oriented Block: Using the pointer, select two data points to create an oriented block.

  • Element: Using the pointer, select an existing closed vector element.

  • Shape: Using the pointer, draw a shape.

Snap

Use to control the snap capability. Three options are supported:

  • None — Do not snap to any element.

  • Raster — Snap to nearest raster element.

  • Vector — Snap to nearest vector element.

Entity

Lets you determine where to place the nodes.

  • Line — Use to place the nodes at the center of the raster lines. or on the edges of the raster objects or lines (Outline).

  • Outline — Use to place the nodes on the edges of the raster objects or lines.

Max. Line Width

Used to determine the maximum width of raster lines. All lines, or parts of lines, or any raster object wider than this value will not be considered as a raster line. This value is given in pixels. Use the Measure tool to measure the width of the larger lines you want to convert.
